National Library of Medicine (NLM)

NLM, the National Library of Medicine is the largest medical library world-wide. NLM provides the database MEDLINE which contains approx. 10 million documents and is made available via a variety of hosts, e.g. DIMDI. Literature in MEDLINE is indexed using the Medical Subject Headings, MeSH. Relevant keywords for alternative methods are "animal testing alternatives", "in vitro" and, since 2001, "animal use alternatives".
